Hi, I'm Adam, founder of Choral Clarity. I am a passionate choral director who believes music literacy is an important part of any successful choral program. Not only do I believe this with every ounce of my being, but I have more than 20 years of experience teaching practical music literacy to everyone who walks into my classroom.
As a high school choral director for more than two decades, I have accepted all singers, regardless of skill level, and placed them into the same ensemble. Students need an environment that is conducive to all learners. This can only happen when we develop the right culture for our students.
Over the past two decades, I have come to realize that singers will only learn what it important to them. It is our job to impart musical skills that connect to where they are in their development process.
Teaching singers the letter names of notes has no bearing on how they learn their music. It's our job to figure out how to deepen their current musical skills.

More About Adam Paltrowitz
I have been a public school teacher for more than two decades with over 20 years at the secondary level. I believe that every student can learn to sing. As a result, I run a self-selected choral program where students are not separated based on talent/skill level. This has led to a highly-successful program where all students view themselves as soloists and develop a sense of self in their singing. This begins with positive learning environment and the ability for each singer to match pitch.

I am in the business of inspiring others. My blog, resources, and original choral works have been used at primary, secondary, college, and community choirs around the world.
